Mirza Md Tasnim Mukarram
Mirza Md Tasnim Mukarram is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa's Department of Geographical & Sustainability Sciences. Before joining the University of Iowa, Tasnim worked as an Associate Environmental Engineer with the Bangladesh Army's HQ 24 Engineer Construction Brigade, where he played a key role in mapping land cover, assessing climate risks, and preparing greenhouse gas emission reports for the Further Development of Comilla University Project.
Tasnim has also served as a GIS & Water Quality Specialist at the Climate Change Laboratory, Green Laboratory Testing Services-BEPZA, where he was involved in water and soil quality monitoring and remote sensing data analysis. His previous academic engagement includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Department of Civil Engineering, Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST), contributing to land suitability analysis and GIS mapping.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the Military Institute of Science & Technology, a Master’s in Environmental Economics from the Dhaka School of Economics, University of Dhaka, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science from United International University.
